Homelessness in America is the most troubling humanitarian effort of our time. What moral sense can we find in the lavish lifestyles of a few, with so many suffering from lack? The recession will force 1.5 million more people into homelessness over the next two years in America, according to estimates by The National Alliance to End Homelessness. Cities from coast to coast have reported a 12% increase in homelessness since 2007. The issue of homelessness is prevalent and rising. We need your help and vision.
What's the root of the issue? We ask you, and we ask ourselves. Statistics show that homelessness affects far more than the stereotypical mentally ill and clinically insane who have nowhere to go but roam the streets. This epidemic is in fact impacting everyone in all walks of life. Can a monitary contribution help? Can participating in shelters and group efforts to help get those off the street? Perhaps empowering those who are homeless with words of encouragement and teachings of rightful action? The truth is all of these help and more. We're interested in envisioning the greatest solution and outcome for homelessness in America.
